Meet our Summer Intern
“That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:16–19)
James Mendoza became a Christian during his final year while attending Texas State University. He surrendered his life to Christ after hearing the Gospel and quickly began meeting for regular discipleship. He and his family first attended church in Austin, but later felt led to fellowship back in their hometown of San Marcos. James soon got involved with the teaching and preaching of God’s Word. During the year of 2006, a mission trip to Piedras Negras, Mexico, placed a desire within him to purposefully equip himself for further ministry to Spanish speaking people.
In recent years, James has served as an elder and coordinated the children’s ministry for his church. He has gained valuable experience working at a Christian school in Martindale where he helped facilitate the selection and teaching of Bible‐based curriculum.
James joined Frontlines Ministries and is helping initiate evangelistic outreaches around the San Marcos area. His efforts also go towards discipling others and growing them in their faith.
James, his wife Frances, and their four children reside in San Marcos, Texas. The newest family member arrived June 28th.
